Originally built in 1882 for Israel Dasher and lovingly restored in the late
1990's, the Townhouse on Barnard provides guests with modern luxuries while
also providing a sense of the past. Located just steps from Chatham Square
and Forsyth Park in a beautiful residential neighborhood in Savannah's famed
Historic District, the townhouse is just a short walk from most historic
sites and some of Savannah's best eateries.
The townhouse is three levels with the first level a rented garden
apartment. The second floor entrance opens of a common area with a
beautiful parlor and dining room each with a gas fireplace decorated with
many of the owners personal paintings. There is a fully equipped kitchen
with all modern appliances and a half bath on this floor. The comfortable
sofa pulls out into a queen bed making this home a comfortable fit for up to
six people. Also located on this floor is a full-size washer and dryer. On
the second floor, you will find the master bedroom with a comfy queen-size
bed and private bath with a soaking tub and a walk-in shower. The second
bedroom has an antique double bed and a full bath in the hall. The
Townhouse also has a private deck off the kitchen.
The Townhouse is "unhosted" meaning there are no meals or maid service
provided during your stay. Maid service is provided after checkout and may
be provided for extended stays for an additional charge.
The rental rate of the Townhouse is based on the number of occupants. The
rate starts at $250 nightly plus 13% tax for two persons. There is a $25
nightly charge for each additional guest. Maximum occupancy is six when
using the queen sofa-bed in the living room. Weekly and monthly rates are
available. The accommodations are not suitable for children under ten years
of age. These rates do not apply during holidays and special events.
